Light the Fire is a three-credit-hour immersive STEM experience and an ACUE High-Impact Practice, designed to ignite curiosity, foster collaboration, and equip students with the skills necessary to excel in their academic and professional journeys. This highly engaging, interdisciplinary course brings together faculty from Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and Computer Science to provide students with an enriched and dynamic introduction to STEM disciplines.

Light the Fire goes beyond the basics, offering hands-on lab experiences, fieldwork opportunities, and cutting-edge learning techniques that empower students to explore STEM in innovative and meaningful ways. By engaging in hands-on, minds-on real-world applications, advanced learning strategies, and interdisciplinary problem-solving, students will build a strong academic foundation for long-term success in STEM fields.
